Telc Test B1 in focus

Telc Test B1 is definitely longer and more complex than Telc A2 Test, but there are clear parallels:

• • Telc B1 Listening Part 3 is similar to Telc A2 Listening Part 2.

• • Telc B1 Reading Part 2 is similar to Telc A2 Reading Part 2.

• • Telc B1 Reading Part 3 is similar to Telc A2 Reading Part 3.

This vertical similarity proves that Telc A2 Test is a necessary bridge between A1 and Telc Test B1. All German learners who have taken Telc A2 Test will definitely find it easier to pass Telc Test B1. Aside from the complexity and scope, there are clear similarities to Telc exam B2:

Reading Comprehension

• • Telc B2 Part 1 is similar to Telc B1 Part 1.

Sprachbausteine in the Telc exam B1 represent a significant difference from Goethe B1 exam. They test both the grammatical and lexical knowledge of the test takers and prepare them for two similar Sprachbausteine sections in Telc exam B2. There is also a clear horizontal similarity between Goethe B1 exam and Telc Test B1:

• • Goethe B1 Reading Parts 2 and 3 are similar to Telc B1 Part 2.

The Goethe B1 exam is significantly longer than the Telc B1 Test, especially in the listening module. The listening module in Goethe B1 exam is 10 minutes longer than the Telc exam B1.
