Telc A2 Test – listening comprehension

Telc A2 Test – listening comprehension lasts 20 minutes and consists of 3 parts:

Part 1

You will hear 5 different messages on the answering machine twice, each between 15 and 20 seconds long. Each message is missing a piece of information that the candidate must enter. Important notes on notation: Numbers starting with 5, and especially times, must be entered as numbers. Days of the week must be written completely without abbreviations; pay attention to upper and lower case. Days of the week, times, prices, times of day, etc., often appear in the Telc A2 Test. This means you must be proficient in writing down numbers and times. The advantage is that you will hear each message twice.

Part 2

This part consists of 5 different radio excerpts with 5 multiple-choice questions. The usual topics in this part are: weather, traffic reports, news, sports, advertising, etc. These text types rarely appear in textbooks, and when they do, they are not sufficient to pass the test. In addition, these texts are authentic, i.e., sometimes fast-paced like on the radio, with background information, etc. You will need to practice specifically to pass this part. The fact that you only hear each message once makes this task challenging. This part also prepares you for Telc Test B1 and has clear parallels to Telc Test B1 Part 3. To pass this task, go online, type in www.deutschtests.com , and start practicing.

Part 3

In this part, you will hear a conversation between two people. In the official Telc A2 Test, there are 6 people or things on one side and 9 options on the other. One thing is already assigned to a person. So, in this part, there are 5 people or things to assign compared to 8. You can choose from a drop-down list on our web portal. This task is also unusual and confuses many learners, and can only be mastered with practice – as the saying goes, practice makes perfect. You can practice this section in Goethe A2 exam Part 2; the two parts are identical. The only difference is that Goethe A2 exam Part 2 includes photos.
